Coffee Corner Group’s Brazil Journey and the Introduction of Specialty Coffee to Palestine

Coffee Corner Group visited Brazil in 11/2025 as part of a professional coffee journey focused on specialty coffee sourcing, quality evaluation, and building direct relationships with producers, exporters, and coffee professionals.

The visit included attending SIC – International Coffee Week at EXPOMINAS Belo Horizonte, one of Brazil’s key coffee events, where the team participated in cupping sessions, explored specialty coffee lots, and connected with professionals from across the Brazilian coffee sector. The agenda included multiple cupping sessions during the event, creating an important opportunity to evaluate different profiles and understand the diversity of Brazilian specialty coffees.

Following the exhibition, the visit continued with field tours in important coffee-producing regions, including areas around Manhuaçu – Minas Gerais and Dores do Rio Preto – Espírito Santo. The field programme included visits to farms, coffee companies, and cupping locations such as Cotrim D’Alessandro, Tuya Cafés, Fazendas Dutra, Sítio Varinhas, and APEC, allowing the team to experience specialty coffee at origin and gain deeper insight into production, processing, quality control, and sourcing opportunities.

Throughout the journey, Coffee Corner Group also built valuable relationships with coffee traders, importers, and specialty coffee roasters from different parts of the world who accompanied the group during the programme. These interactions created an important platform for exchanging knowledge, understanding global specialty coffee standards, and developing international business connections.

This journey had a significant impact on Coffee Corner Group’s development. It helped the company strengthen its understanding of specialty coffee, build closer relationships with coffee producers and suppliers, and take practical steps toward introducing specialty coffee as an important part of its business.

As a result of this experience and the relationships built in Brazil, Coffee Corner Group began introducing specialty coffee as a structured part of its business, bringing carefully selected specialty coffees to the Palestinian market.

This step marked an important milestone for the company and the local coffee sector, as Coffee Corner Group became the first Palestinian company to import specialty coffee and develop it as part of its commercial offering. It reflects the group’s commitment to quality, innovation, and leading the development of coffee culture in Palestine.
